Dallas Author Margaret Donnelly presents a Narrative Double Feature

NOVEMBER 5, 2015, DALLAS, TX – After a couple of years in the works, Dallas-based author Margaret Donnelly will be presenting her two newest projects in an exclusive event this upcoming November 17 at Serj Books in downtown Dallas. At the event, she will share a preview of her new novel, titled BOLIVAR’S HEART, and there will be a table reading of the movie adaptation of her previous book THE PATH OF LORD JAGUAR.

BOLIVAR’S HEART is the follow up in Donnelly’s book saga dealing with love, historical and courtroom intrigues, and immigration. The story of BOLIVAR’S HEART spans several centuries and a few countries in the American continent, from Peru to the United States. “My mission as a writer is to unite the Americas,” commented Donnelly. Her previous novels, THE SONG OF THE GOLDEN COCKS and THE PATH OF LORD JAGUAR, have also featured stories involving other countries in the Americas and their history.

The movie adaptation of THE PATH OF LORD JAGUAR, entitled LORD JAGUAR and currently in development, will also be presented at the November 17th engagement. Actors will perform selected scenes from the screenplay, and those will be compared with passages of the book. LORD JAGUAR was adapted by ALEX GARCIA TOPETE, local filmmaker originally from Mexico. Garcia Topete will also serve as director and producer, while Donnelly will be a producer as well. The movie is expected to shoot in Dallas and other locations in 2016. NOWADAYS ORANGE PRODUCTIONS, a Dallas-based media company that has been involved in the production of award-winning films, is in charge of the project.

“Margaret’s works have such a richness of characters, history, and spiritual magic, that I didn’t hesitate to join her team for bringing the LORD JAGUAR to the silver screen,” said GARCIA TOPETE, “And we just hope to make justice to the book with the movie version so that it can reach more people.”

BOLIVAR’S HEART, THE PATH OF LORD JAGUAR, and the entire collection of Donnelly’s works will be featured in the 2015 edition of the prestigious International Book Fair in Guadalajara, Mexico, Nov. 28 to Dec. 6, 2015.

The November 17th event in downtown Dallas will take place at SERJ BOOKS, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
